Wellbeing

Monday 26 June 2017

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Institutional and International Relations, Professor Eilis Ferran, as Sponsor, launched the new Health and Wellbeing initiatives recently approved by the University’s HR Committee and the logo, WellCAM, further to recommendations made by a Strategic Working Group who reviewed the University’s current approach with the aim of developing initiatives to provide a more comprehensive health and wellbeing provision.

She announced that the focus would initially be on mental health awareness and managing work demands, with lunchtime sessions on these topics provided over 2017/18. In addition, a website would be developed to provide information and where staff can make bookings.

These initiatives will build on existing good practice, while allowing local flexibility to accommodate these activities within their existing wellbeing provision
